The purpose of my project was to create 6 images (the last of which is in completion) from the narrative of a Graphic Novel idea I have had for a while.

I was commissioned over the time i was home, to paint a local ladies sheep, below is the outcome completed in acrylic.
Below shows the Zine that I made in response to the project requiring one. It shows the process of all the animations I was able to create. The front cover represents each bit of body language and its corresponding emotion (love, anger and anxiety) in the form of patterns and colour. Inside I used a few stills from the animation so show the movement in a static form, using the patterns and colours to take away the 2D effect and make the images more emotive. I think that upon reviewing the project, it would have been more effective to have included more emotions to make the piece about all emotion in terms of body language becouse my animations are limited and therefore so is the book. However I am pleased with what I've been able to create in the time, and thing whist it could have been improved if I had managed my time better, I have still completed what I set out to do.
This animation is also part of the semiotics brief and is an animation of body language of anxiety and fear. I observed my self on several occasions as to what I subconsciously express feelings of anxiety and this shows a hand going along an arm and squeezing which is something I do myself. Below is an example of how I have slipped up on many of these animations because of the Photoshop images being without a background I forgot to place a background on the animation which causes little sections of discolouration to show up where the background eraser tool hasn't worked to its best.
Today at the group crits I was able to get some further ideas and critique on the work I have done so far. One of the things I was told might look better was the length of time the hands hold in the animation as it is too quick. Having this view on my work enabled me to be able to look at what I'd done so far with fresh eyes meaning little improvements could be made. I have since added extra frames. I was also told instead of making the books of the frames, creating one book on the process and looking at body language could possibly work better. Since this insight I have had the idea to create a collage piece of work for my project and make it into a book that goes with the animations.
This is the original gif with extra frames added to create the moving colour effect. This took a significantly longer amount of time and I think that in the end the colour
Here is the finished first gif that I've made of my own drawings. It took me a while to figure out the best way of putting these layers together on adobe animate. The process was lengthy and took patience but I am pleased with the first outcome. I plan now to add colour to further extenuate the emotion i want to portray.
Body language. The brief I chose was body language, my aim is to create some animations to capture the movement and touch of language our body uses to communicate emotions. The project requires a book to be made so I think I will create some from the stills almost to capture the animation in static motion. These are some frames I created with emotion of anger in mind, showing the process of relaxed eyes turning to frowning eyes. This was my first point of experimentation because I want to make sure the animation works well and this simple transition seemed like a sensible one to start on as I will be able to teach myself how to create it as a gif.
